Join us for a half-day, hands-on workshop that explores using digital media as a learning tool for engaging students in service-learning projects. Learn about Nobis Project’s Action Steps© service-learning model and how to utilize arts and media for exploring social issues that affect our community. This workshop is ideal for middle and high school teachers who teach subjects ranging from English, Social Studies, History, Foreign Language, Science, Art, and more! Learn strategies for guiding students through every stage of production, from planning and writing to shooting and editing. Guide your students, as a team, to use their curiosity and creativity to develop a digital media project that offers them both the skills and opportunity to make a difference in the world. Each participant will leave with strategies for assisting students in preparing digital media submissions for the Nobis Project Film Festival and Media Fest.
